Hope

This past weekend was busy and fun.  One of those where you don't stop but you don't seem to mind 'cause it's all good.

We closed with a Palm Sunday night singing at our church.

Izzy had been contemplating singing for a while now, since she did this at Christmas.

Her courage was the issue.  She asked Shelby several weeks back if she would sign a song while she sang it - thus, taking all eyes off of Izzy and placing them on Shelby.  Pretty good logic I thought.

Here is my lovely and brave daughter practicing singing her first ever complete song, Hope's Song.  It is a beautiful song sung by Rebecca St. James on the Veggie Tales Easter Carol dvd.

Shelby did sign it for her, and although I love to watch Shelby sign, my eyes were on Izzy.  It was a first for her and my stomach was doing butterflies for her nerves and my lips were whispering prayers for her strength and courage.

Prayers answered.
